(Mannheim, September 2018) flexword Translators & Consultants, the international language services provider headquartered in Mannheim (Baden-Württemberg) continues to grow. To reflect its international growth and at the same time increase its agility with a view to strategic acquisitions and further branch offices, the company has adopted a new structure. On September 1, 2018, flexword changed its corporate form in Germany from a classic partnership to become flexword Germany GmbH, a kind of limited liability company. flexword Holding was also set up as the holding company for all four national subsidiaries, in the US, Serbia, Germany and Great Britain. “We have grown significantly in the last few years, and particularly in our international business. With this new corporate structure, we intend to position ourselves flexibly for the future. In the new holding company, we can now give the individual national subsidiaries more freedom to expand faster through acquisitions, and we become even more attractive for potential partners or employees”, announces flexword founder and managing director Goranka Miš-Čak with satisfaction. The company currently employs a total workforce of about 50 in all locations, and this number is trending rapidly upwards. One of the most innovative providers on the market, flexword succeeded in maintaining its 40% turnover increase of 2017 in the first half of 2018. This has been reported as the most successful first six months in the company’s history and serves to confirm its stable, sustainable growth as in the years before.
The last two years have been marked as a period of expansion for flexword. The company has grown rapidly on the foundation of many regular customers and major contracts. As a translation services provider, flexword occupies particularly strong positions in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medicine, engineering and international corporate and civil law. With the establishment of four national subsidiaries in different time zones – the most recent site was opened in Jacksonville, Florida in 2016 – flexword is able to serve its customers over even longer working hours. At the same time, the company has continued to refine its processes, software equipment and organizational structure. This final step is now the corporate structure. In the words of managing director Werner Arnautović, “Our success is founded on our uncompromising commitment to quality and a good working relationship with our customers which is informed by complete confidence. We work with a network of 6,500 translators all over the world and we specialise in complex projects with extremely tight timelines. That is why,” he continues with optimism, “we are convinced that there is still immense potential for growth for us in the market; we intend to turn that expectation outwards in the future with our new holding structure.” This conversion involved a change in legal form while preserving the company’s identity; its ownership and structure remain unchanged.
